A unique limited edition every month
In collaboration with Lydia Ellen, we translated her deep connection to Margaret River, the Australian outdoors, and the relaxed lifestyle of this special place into a unique Limited Edition – inspired by a region just three hours from her home in Perth.
She is the third in the Buvanha X Artists series, in which we collaborate with seven artists worldwide to create a limited edition of unique travel towels designed by them.
Meet Lydia
“This towel is more than just a beach accessory – it's a visual diary, inspired by Margaret River, a small coastal town in Western Australia.
Margaret River is known for its perfect waves, culinary diversity, pristine nature, and warm community. I wanted to capture precisely that feeling in my design: the long drives along karri-lined roads, collecting shells on the beach with a hot coffee in hand, and the sunsets that paint the sky in soft oranges and reds.
Each illustration tells a story of warmth, discovery and community – exactly what a day in Margaret River feels like.”
How Margaret River inspired her…
Lydia drew inspiration for her towel design from her very first trip to Margaret River – a place where world-famous surf spots meet picturesque vineyards, where cozy cafes and bakeries invite you to linger, and where nature and creativity go hand in hand.
With this design, she wanted to not only showcase the beauty of this region, but also share the special memories: her daughter's first steps, the precious moments with her family, and the inspiration she found in the many local small businesses.
The long roads through tall karri forests, the golden sunsets along the coast, and the endless crashing waves - for Lydia, they are much more than just landscapes. They embody the energy, inspiration, and heart of her design.
It is an ode to Margaret River, to its community and to the feeling of a home away from home that this place has given her.
